Michael was hardly the first angel that Dean has ever introduced to the joys of watching Netflix. Though, Cas had been more open to the idea than the archangel because apparently being an archangel meant all business and no play, at least so Michael said. He had almost countered with Gabriel, who seemed to be the king of seeking nothing but his own hedonism.
He had wrangled the eldest onto his bed and told him that he was going to watch stuff on Netflix with him, regardless of whether he wanted to or not because that was what normal couples did. Then again, there was nothing normal about dating the angel that at one time wanted to wear him to the prom.
“Oh, so this is what Lucifer meant by Netflix and chill…” Michael hummed, the euphemism behind the phrase going completely over his head. Dean groaned. Lucifer seemed to take pride in teaching Michael human metaphors but purposely failing to provide him with the true meaning behind them.
“No, this is so not what he meant.”
“I don’t understand…he says he does this with Sam all the time…” Michael replied innocently and Dean cringed. Okay, he did not need to think about his brother being intimate with Satan, it was still something that he was coming to terms with.
“Oh, I bet he does.” Dean sighed as he shook his head, “It’s a euphemism, Mikey. Netflix and chill means sex.”
“Oh…I can never understand these strange expressions you humans come up with.”
“Like you angels are one to talk. You breed with the mouth of a goat? What the fuck does that even mean?” Dean repeats the phrase he had heard back when he had dealt with the Whore of Babylon.
Michael gives a small smile, just barely containing his laughter.
“See, what’s so funny about that?”
“You still have a long way to go in your Enochian lessons before you can appreciate that.” Michael had taken it upon himself to teach him the language of the angels. His progress was slow, unlike Sam who had picked it up fairly quickly under Lucifer’s guidance. But even though Dean was not fast at learning Enochian, Michael was an extremely patient teacher.
“Ugh, don’t remind me of that, Mikhail.” His pronunciation of Michael’s name in Enochian was heavily accented but understandable, “Anyways, back to business here, we’re supposed to be watching Netflix. And just maybe we can do the chill part later if you behave.”
