After visiting St. Mary’s Convent, which had been the place where Lucifer had been set free onto the earth, Dean had made it a point to avoid old and abandoned churches because who knows what other horrors could be unleashed. Plus, they just emitted a really creepy vibe.
Not that Satan was much of an issue anymore since he was nothing more than his brother’s pet Devil lately. He still did not care of the dick but okay. But worst than that Michael apparently had taken up the hobby of stalking him as if the supposed viceroy of Heaven did not have anything better to do with his time. Not to mention walking around in some poor sod’s body, thankfully not a relative of his this time or at least he doesn’t think so. Though apparently angels had a penchant for selecting attractive looking vessels as Michael’s was so attractive that it should be a sin.
Sam was doing whatever with Lucifer, he shuddered over the fact that it might be a date, while Dean decided to tackle a minor case on his own. Which, unfortunately, involved an abandoned church. There had been unexplained paranormal sightings so Dean was investigating to whether he could just put whatever fears to rest by debunking or hunting the thing responsible down.
As of yet, Dean had yet to encounter anything supernatural. Unless super huge spider webs counted. Like seriously how did itty bitty spiders build such large webs that were bigger than his giant of a brother? That had to be some major dedication. Dean only felt slightly bad about breaking up some of the cobwebs so that he could proceed further into the church, flashlight in one hand and iron crowbar in his other.
He could feel his nose starting to clog up from the amount of dust lying around. No one had bothered to take care of the place since it had been put up for sale by the parish. As he walked through the main area of the church, he even noted that some of the wood for the pew’s seats had collapsed. He slowly worked his way towards the altar. Many of the religious icons had been removed but some of the heavier items had remained behind, such as the huge ass angel statue.
He snickered as he looked at the Greek inspired statue as the angel was depicted as a bit feminine with long flowing hair yet had abs of steel. Sometimes the angels were shown holding musical instruments or scales but this one was holding a sword, probably one of God’s little soldiers.
It was probably meant to convey the awe and terrifying nature of the angels but little did the artists know what angels were really like. There was little awe about them. Except for Castiel who had stood by their side and defied Heaven for him and Sam.
Dean found his hands run downing the smooth surface of the angel. Granted their idea might be a little off but he could still appreciate an artist’s talents as he did not have a single artistic bone in his body. The statue was just as dirty as the rest of the joint as his hand became coated in dust and cobwebs at the action.
Behind him, he heard a low chuckle and turned around raising his crowbar defensively. He lowered it when he saw that it was just Michael being a creeper.
“What the fuck!? Could you not sneak up on me like that? You angels should wear a freakin’ bell around your neck.” Dean said, desperately trying to not think of how the archangel would look like with a collar around his neck with a bell hanging off it and perhaps not wearing anything else. Fuck, he was going to go to hell for having indecent thoughts about an angel of the Lord. Though, did he already condemn himself for sleeping with Anna?
“What are you doing here? I never took you for a man of faith.” Michael’s lips curved into a smirk.
“Har har. Well, I’m not here because I want to be, buttercup, but rather I’m working a case.”
“A case that involves feeling up a statue?” He raised an eyebrow at him as let out a low laugh.
“I’m sure that this guy is way more charming than you.”
“Dean, so misguided. Who do you think this statue is of?” Michael questioned with a neutral expression and crossed his arms in front of his chest.
“I don’t know. Kind of hard to tell when there are a bunch of you.” Dean answered honestly. He had not seen any plaque identifying the statue nearby so he did not have a clue.
“You resisted against your destiny so hard but nevertheless you find yourself unwittingly drawn towards it.” Michael started walking towards him and Dean backs up until he is pressed against the statue with the prince of Heaven caging him. His grip around the flashlight unconsciously slackened and it collapsed onto the floor.
“What do you….don’t tell me that I was feeling you up!” The realization dawned onto Dean, that was why Michael had been so amused that he had taken a particular interest in that statue. A predatory grin confirmed his fears.
“Though, why waste your affection on just a pale imitation when you can have the real thing?” Dean could feel his face start to burn up. Since when did Michael know how to flirt? He had not been so forward when he was giving him his monologue about accepting his destiny and becoming his meatsuit.
He nearly yelped as Michael grabbed a hold of his now free hand and pressed it against his chest, allowing Dean to feel his pectoral muscles. Then he moved his hand lower to touch his abs. Dean let out an uncharacteristically high pitched squeak of embarrassment.
God, he felt like a fucking virgin all over again.
“My Father cannot help you.” Michael’s grin widened and Dean vaguely remembered Lucifer mentioning once that as part of Michael’s duties as viceroy, he heard all the prayers directed towards God. Damn it.
Dean let out a moan as Michael leaned forward and pressed his lips against him. Though he broke the kiss and shouted when he felt a creepy crawly thing climbing up his back, which pushed him right into Michael’s arms. He totally wasn’t scared of spiders but this one took him by surprise. It was not his fault that Michael’s lips were very distracting. The archangel took advantage and pulled him against his body.
Damn cobwebs. He should have just came to the church with a flamethrower.
